The power tussle in Bayelsa west is a demonstration of relevancy by the elite ruling class.

The empirical tussle started on saturday 6th of Dec 2014 when Arch Miebi Bribina and Alfred Agbedi were clamouring for the flag bearership of the ruling People Democratic Party PDP,Considering the enormous contributions of Bribina Miebi to students in Bayelsa for over 10yrs prompted the Bayelsa west student forum to fight by him to ensure that he is been delivered to represent Sagbama/Ekeremor at the level of Federal house of representative but Arch:Bribina Miebi was denied entrance to the venue of the primaries by security operatives and at the end of the day Alfred Agbedi who was a structure from the Governor was declared the winner of the primary to be theflag bearer PDP,
which prompted a mixed reaction from students and youths of Sagbama/Ekeremor who were supporters of Miebi but they were calmed down by the aspirant because he was a liberal and God fearing politician

He told them that the battle is not over yet because precautionary measures have been put in place so they should not loss hope yet.

Going up to the Senate where we have Senator Heniken Lokpobiri and Foster Ogula the resigned scholarship board chairman who was also a direct structure from Honourable Seriaki Dickson and Hon Peremobowei Ebebi by his side to fight out Senator Lokpobiri based on their past conflicts and there was no room for harmonization for both parties which prompted a fractional Primaries in PDP for Bayelsa West senatorial District, one of the returning officers Declared Sen Lokpobiri the winner while the other returning officer Declared Foster Ogula the winner.Now we have two PDP flag bearers for Bayelsa west Senatorial District,the amazing story is that the Bayelsa west student stood on their ground saying that they will never allow Forster Ogula to represent them at any level because he is running for that position with #200.000.000(Two hundred million naira) that was meant for bursary payment when he was serving as the scholarship board chairman and that he is not credible enough to represent them at a higher capacity.Be it as it may i comr Atti J Moses is telling the leaders in Bayelsa west that the youths and students is watching so they should be of best behaviour because any attempted attempt to set confusion and kiosk between the students and youths in general will not be possible because we are now conscious intellectual even as we will exercise our franchise come 2016 general elections. from the stable of the Aluta General Comr Atti J Moses (President Concerned Bayelsa state Students for Peace and Good Governance/State Coordinator Niger Delta youth action for Democracy/Vice Chairman IYC oporomor Clan)
